7. Cheryl's Find it & Found it Columm:
THE FIND-IT COLUMN by Cheryl P.
I have volunteered to help fan club members to locate merchandise that they
want to buy. Since the last newsletter, here are a few "Found-Its"
For this issue, Teresa asked me to find her a Japanese Sailor Neptune doll.
I found two solutions for her:
1. You will be happy to know that I have located a Japanese Sailor Neptune
doll for you at:
Usagi's House:
http://www.usagishouse.com/ufo.htm
It is a Sailor Neptune Dream Pocket doll and I can tell you that the dream
pocket dolls are some of the nicest of the Japanese dolls ever made from the
series.  Each one comes with a pouch to carry it in as well!  The current
price is listed as $25 plus shipping and handling charges.  The likenesses are
good, and the hair colors are even pretty accurate, unlike some of the other
dolls on the market (a Sailor Mercury doll I had seen made by another company
had black hair instead of blue!).
Heather Skiera, the proprietor of Usagi's House, is one of the most helpful
people you will ever meet.  She always sells her merchandise at very
reasonable prices and ships it with extra care.
2. In addition, the Beaman Company has had some Neptune dolls in the past, but
I am not sure if they are European or Asian Bandai dolls.
Beaman Company (510) 438-0202:
http://www.beaman.com/index.html
Norman Lee, of the Beaman Company, is always very helpful and prices are
reasonable and shipped with extra care.  (If the website is still being
revamped and is "under construction", please phone him at the above number.
He will get back to you if you leave a message and your area code + phone
number.)
Hope this is helpful!
Please send your Found-It Requests to:">CherieBebe@aol.com
PLEASE PUT "FIND-IT" IN THE SUBJECT LINE - - - thank you!

8. Cheryl's Moon Beam of The Month Article:
MOON BEAM CENTRAL
by Cheryl P.
For each issue of the newsletter I will present at least one MOON BEAM - a web
site suggested for your surfing pleasure. For this issue, I highly recommend
the following three websites:
MY FIRST MOON BEAM IS:
JULIA'S MOON PALACE
http://www.geocities.com/cgi-bin-local/GeoAD?pageID=/gp/Tokyo/Towers
Contents:
· Character Pages
· Character Shrines - Sailor Saturn's shrine is in the making, and will even
include "how to make Saturn's costume" when completed!  DON'T MISS IT!
· Movie Specials/Summaries (including Ami's First Love!)
· Lyrics - English lyrics to songs (Ai no Senshi & La Soldier - also a very
thorough review of each song plus which episode(s) it can be found in and/or
originated!
Julia is also starting other links, such as a page with common Japanese
phrases.  A few short phrases are already there. This is a beautifully
executed web site and you will see that a lot of thought went into the design
of the pages.  Enjoy!
FOR MY SECOND MOON BEAM, I RECOMMEND:
JAIME'S DARK KINGDOM SHRINE - FIRST, LAST, AND FOREVER
http://www2.cybernex.net/~dolphins/dk.html
Features:
· Fanfic - This is a wonderful story that has a large following already, and
with an original and very romantic composition playing while you read!
· Fanart and award-winning gallery
· Naru-chan - info and Naru and Neph images (75 in all!)
· Misc. Stuff - send someone you love the virtual present that keeps on going
(*winking* you will have to see what I mean!)
· Trading Page - Jaime is a distributor of the NEW ENGLISH SAILOR MOON FANDUB
in Negajersey and the rest of the tri-state area (and may also be willing to
trade copies of her fansubs with you).
With 425 images in her website art gallery (yes, it is NOT A TYPO, there are
actually 425 images there!), Jaime's page really rules!!!  She is a very
talented artist, so be sure to enjoy her own fanart (and her fanfic) while you
visit.
MY THIRD MOON BEAM IS:
ANIME NEBULA:
http://www.geocities.com/cgi-bin-local/GeoAD?pageID=/gp/Tokyo/Garden
Dave's page is dedicated to all anime, but he has three main sites: Sailor
Moon; Magic Knight Rayearth; and Evangelion.  Great taste!
Realm of Sailor Moon:
Info section - explaining the basic storyline to the world's most popular
anime series (while the background music enhances your surfing).
Sailor Moon Gallery  - Currently 30 beautiful images.  For an angelic scout
picture, please go to the address below:
http://www.geocities.com/Tokyo/Garden/7807/manga_scouts.jpg
Multimedia section - click on the picture to enter the Midi Palace.  You will
find many great choices here, such as La Soldier and Fire Love Soul.
Realm of Magic Knight Rayearth:
This section is wonderful, too!  I am a huge fan of MKR, and I especially want
to thank Dave for the gorgeous picture of Zagato (sigh!) and Princess
Emeraude.
Realm of Evangelion:
I am unfamiliar with this series, but the summary of the storyline and image
gallery will make you want to check out this series.
You will be sure to enjoy hours of surfing through Dave's Anime Nebula - don't
miss it!
I HOPE YOU WILL ENJOY THESE PAGES AS MUCH AS I DID!

Brief Review:
First of all, I really must applaud the entire cast and crew of The New
English Sailor Moon - BRAVO to the following *very talented and devoted
people:
· MARK SPRAGUE
· SHELLY SULLIVAN
· JENNIFER WAND
· DANA KRAWCHUK
· CARLEN LAVIGNE
· ALLISON ROSE
· NIKKI PURVIS
· CRYSTAL KEARNS
· LAURA VASILION
· JOHN MANNA
· ASHKAAN RAHIMI
* Please note they are listed in the order of appearance in the credits.
This tape contains the first four episodes of Sailormoon S:  "The End of the
World?  Enter the New Warriors"; "The Sceptre of Serena's New Transformation";
"The Mysterious Handsome Guy.  "Eric" Has a Secret."; and "Meet Michelle, the
Elegant Genius".
The acting is excellent, and the voices are great matches for each of the
characters.  The soundtrack is done with special care and the lines are spoken
and emoted beautifully. The translation of the dialog is accurate as well as
lots of fun, even if you are lucky enough to have seen these episodes already
in the subtitled or the raw Japanese format.  I loved Rei's line of her dreams
for her future… she wanted to be an anime voice actress (among MANY other
things).  The script is full of surprises and I will not offer any more
spoilers.  Be assured that your favs are truly brought to life.
Little extras, such as four different openings for the episodes so as to
assure that the audience won't be bored, show just how much love and devotion
was poured into this production.  Incidentally, my favorite opening had the
theme song sung in English, as was the closing theme.  Beautiful job!!!
I am sure you will love listening to these episodes as much as I have.  Let's
all show our support for this exceptional project - and let us look forward to
many more of their presentations.
10. Sailor Zen's Anime Review:
Sailor Zen's Anime Review
Hi everybody! Its me again!! Well, in today's installment I am going to be reviewing one of my personal favs, Nurse Angel Rirka SOS!!! Now, probably only me and Cheryl have heard of it (since I kept going on and on about it to Cheyrl) I'll have to give you the basics. The star of this story is a 10 year old girl, Ririka Moriya (or Mriya Ririka romanticised [japanese]) Whom goes to White Dove Academy. All of a sudden a new student arrives at her school.  His name is Kanou, and he is an exchange student from the England branch of WDA. On her tenth birthday Ririka recieves a present from Kanou, which seriously ticks off Ririka's lifelong friend Seyia (I wonder if he knows Princess Kayuga or Yaten?) But Ririka soon learns that the gift is not just a simple nick-nack, as she is attacked by a walking suit of armor.  Despite Seyia's atempt to save her, Ririka is cornered and falls into a pool, where the Armor blasts every inch of water! But what is in the box that Kanou gave to Ririka?
"The spirit is power, the power is near, be here!" Shouts Ririka, emerging from the pool, and in a transformation scene that beats Sailor Moon into a pile of moondust (Sorry SM) She becomes the fighter of love, the angel of justice (sounds familar) the Legendary Nurse Angel! Nurse Angel Ririka SOS is a shoujo, or Magical Girls Story, just like Sailor Moon. Ririka, like in most Shoujo, becomes more powerful (and several years older, possibly 14) when she transforms. She has magical items, magic powers and weapons, and even a dog (no, he doesn't talk) Hey, now I have a rating system! Here is Ririka's score (out of five)

Story:

Characters:

Action:

Artwork/Special Effects:

Overall Rating:  5 Pikarolls!
Also here is Zen's file for this issue enjoy!

11. Mako-chan's Columm:
Mako-chan's Pointless Paragraph
Well, it seems most people are happy about Sailor Moon's return to US
television!  Today I'm going to talk about what I like and don't like
about it.  I was quite disappointed when five days in a row they didn't
play the opening theme song.  That was like the best part!  (Well, not
really, but I really enjoyed it. :D)  I also don't like how they kept
the Sailor Says at the end of the show, even the majority of Sailor Moon
fans voted against it!  They could take Sailor Says out and put the
theme song is instead.  One of the things I like the best is that at the
end of the original 65 episodes, they will be airing the 17 new ones!
And more may be on the way!  Another thing I like is the little clips
from the show that they show before and after commercial breaks.  I
really don't know why, but it's fun to look for your favorite character
in the clips.  So e-mail me at">kinomako@hotmail.com with what you like
and don't like about Sailor Moon on US TV!
12. Sailor Says:
Okay here is Cataluna's article:
 Sailor Says
13. Heavenshine's Fanfic Review:
Sorry everyone Heavneshine couldn't get her article in on time hopefully next time :)
14. Yamucha's Question Corner:
Okay the question for this issue is what do you think about Sailor Moon back on the air in America on Cartoon Network?
Deathgyunos says:
"Sure!! I think it's great that it's back on the air.  WOO HOO!!!! Finally its on a channel that alot of people can watch, instead of on local stations."
Vampire Princess Miyu says:
."i think it is great that it is back on because not only is it an AWESOME show but not that it has a better time slot..EVERYONE will be able to enjoy it!"
Tiga says:
"I think it's totally awesome, especially for people like me who got hooked on it when they restarted the first season and never did get to see Reeny. ^_^"
Arale-chan says:
"Well,  as you know I live in Hong Kong, so I only saw until Sailor Moon Super S... and I would really like them to finish it off.  I know that in NA they only showed until R right?  so I think it's really good news for the people that Smoon is showing again.  But  I really have some prejudice against the american dub though."
